Valentine’s Day! Each year my husband and I make a yummy dinner together and spend the evening playing games with our kids.
Here are some of the games we played last year.
1. measure everyone’s smile and whoever has the biggest gets a surprise.
2. hide a bunch of hearts around the house with fun surprises written on them. (stay up 20 minutes later…no chore for the day…5 minute foot massage… pick out something at the dollar store…)
3. play hot potato with a big heart pillow. Each time the music stops the child holding the heart gets a piece of candy.
4. say a word that has something to do with Valentine’s day and give everyone two minutes to draw a picture that represents that word. Whoever wins gets to be the judge for the next round.
Do you have something special planned for Valentine’s day? If so, I would love to hear about it!
I love being organized and making lists. Marking something off my to do list makes me feel like I accomplished something really amazing! Yesterday I had a few quiet minutes and wrote down some of the things I want to mark off my list this year...
Do a better job documenting my children's lives with pictures and words. Life is always changing and I want to remember what it was like to be a busy momma with four kids.
Finish Lily's doll house.
Add new items to my etsy shop.
Start planning weekly menus.
Finish all the craft projects I have started.
Start writing down my Dad's childhood memories.
Make a 2010 book.
Do small things throughout the year for the people I love to let them know how special they are to me.
