It is raining and Lily is singing a happy little tune. The two of us are having a lazy day at home trying to get over the flu. We are waiting for the big kids to get home from school and looking through recipes trying to figure out what to make for supper.
I am so glad it is Friday! I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. I hope your weekend is lovely:)

Hello...Just wanted to drop you a note to say how much I love your blog. Your photographs are gorgeous, and I love the little story about the letters you and your husband wrote to eachother, it brought a tear to my eye! So sweet. Your children are darling, and I love your painted white floors! I've been wanting to do this in my own home, but didn't know how they would hold up...any advice? So nice to meet you! ~Bess

Aww...thank you so much ladies!
Marsha, I emailed you:)
Bess, I have white wood floors in my studio and in my daughter’s room. I love the way they look, but they are a bit of trouble to keep clean. They get black marks on them from people’s shoes and I have to scrub hard to get them off and they show scratches pretty bad. I don’t mind the scratches too much though. We live in an old house and it’s just part of the look:) Hope that helps!
