Oh what a beautiful hanbok! We got yearly gifts to give our girls whilre we were in country too, but had planned on them being for their gotcha days - I love the thought of giving them at birthdays :) I hope your day was wonderful, and that you'll post some birthday photos too - your birthday posts are my favorite!

omg! the cutest kimono dress ever! can you make one my size?

nathalie

is this a modkid pattern? i am going to buy a couple of her patterns and wonder if they are as good as oliver + s.

Charla Anne

You all are the best! Thank you for the comments!

Nathalie,
I didn't make it...we bought it while in Korea. It does look similar to modkid's patterns.
I've thought about making some clothes for Lily using oliver + s patterns. I think their patterns are the cutest ever! I wish I enjoyed sewing clothes more.

Lily's hanbok is lovely. I recognized the Asian Corelle doll. My oldest literally loved that doll to pieces...it's all ripped up and duct taped! I finally bought them Waldorf dolls. I wish I had your sewing talent to make them and their dolls such cute dresses! I have a lot of Korean books that I added to my children's book list. Perhaps you would be interested?

Charla Anne

Becky, I would love a copy of your list! Thank you so much!

Becky

Charlaanne,

I have the list of books on my blog, but I realize that I mixed up the Korean ones with all our favorites. Let me see if I can spruce it up and make a Korean category so it's easier to navigate. But it might take a while. I also talk a lot about Korean culture so if you check under the label "Korean" I think you might find somethings.
