Matt and his sweet girlfriend, Liz.
Eighteen years ago I held him in my arms for the first time. I marveled at how perfect he was and my heart overflowed with love for him. Becoming his momma was my dream come true. I loved taking care of his needs and watching him learn new things. At times I felt like we were growing up together. He has taught me so many things about life and myself. It hasn’t always been easy but I am so thankful for the memories we share and the lessons we learned along the way. I hope he always looks back on his childhood and remembers a mom that loved him dearly.
Happy birthday to Your nice guy!!! Your comment dedicated to him made me cry!!! So sweet and just moms can understand how deep and wonderful is a love for a son!!!!! :)))))

Can you believe he's 18?! Its crazy how fast they grow up...he's a handsome young man and you wrote a beautiful tribute to him.

I always wonder how you get all your colors to come together so perfectly. Did you ask all the kids to wear blue, green and grey?! Is that a green painted wall or did you have some sort of backdrop. Would love to hear more about your photography and work in your posts. Love how you keep everything clean and simple. Very Martha! Beautiful job and nice words to your sweet son.

Arlette, Poopie, Niina, Marla, Stephanie, and Kris,
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Stephanie,
I used a painted piece of plywood for the photo booth photos.
Since I knew all the guests so well, I did ask them to wear blue, green, or a neutral color to the party.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
