The day was special from beginning to end. We started our day at church singing Christmas carols and hearing a message about our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
We were so happy to have Matt and Jerusha come over to celebrate the day with us. Brittany and Kayla made manicotti for dinner. My husband read the story of Jesus’ birth and we prayed together and everyone said something that they were thankful for. Lily was so anxious to be done with all that and just unwrap her presents!
Kayla got in another ice skating accident and busted her face right before Christmas. So thankful it wasn’t any worse.
Lily’s elf, Oliver, was pretty worn out this year. He just sat on the fireplace each day and every once in awhile he got enough energy to move. When Lily realized he moved, she got so excited and ran to find him because he always had a surprise waiting. This tea party was one of his surprises.
Matt turned 22 four days after Christmas. I always think of him as my Christmas baby. Jerusha made my whole week when she showed up at our house on his birthday. She gave me these beautiful flowers to thank me for having him. She is the sweetest thing!
