I'm always trying to find ways to keep Lily busy, especially when it is really cold outside. This stitching is her latest project. I just wrote lightly on the fabric with a pencil and she stitched over it. I think her stitches are the cutest! I love it so much, I may hang it in her room.
I like finding the paper boats Lily makes laying around the house.
My Dad taught me how to make them when I was a little girl. I remember making them together and writing our name on each one we made. When we both had a big pile, Dad filled the bathtub up with water and we carefully sat all our boats inside. We took turns throwing a cup of water in the tub, trying to sink each other’s boats. The person who had the last floating boat won! Such fun memories. I'm so grateful for my Dad. He made my childhood beautiful.
Lily loves the little pink scooter she got for her birthday. She rides it all over the house. Sometimes she wraps a scarf around the handlebars (for reins) and pretends it is her horse. She rides it through the house hollering, “come on Thunder Bolt. You can do it boy!”
