She runs to the door and gives him xox’s when he gets home from work...she insists he is the one that brushes her teeth and carries her to bed each night...and she cries when he goes to town without her.
It wasn’t always this way. When we brought her home from Korea at 11 months old, she didn’t want anything to do with him. For the first several days, I was the one that took care of her needs and held her each night as she cried for her foster momma. After awhile, I became so exhausted so my hubby took over the night time comforting and feedings. They bonded during those early morning hours and she became a complete Daddy’s girl <3
We got up early one morning and went on a drive in the beautiful mountains. We ended up getting lost and spent an hour or two on the bumpiest roads before finding our way back down! Once we were on the main road, Lily started singing, “we are out of the jungle. I thought I was going to die in there!”
I wasn’t planning on taking a family picture, but I’m glad I did. All of the kids were in a silly mood and it makes my heart happy every time I look at it. I am so grateful for my man and the kids God blessed my life with. They are my greatest blessings.
Someone got tired of climbing all those steps;)
