goodbye summer

today:

Lily and I are going shopping for groceries and fabric.

We are going to make a salad and tomato tart for supper.

Lily will ask me to read her a book, and when we are finished she will ask me to read another and another...

My sisters are coming over to spend a few days at my house:) We are going to eat yummy food, watch movies, sew, and stay up late talking and laughing! I can’t wait!

{ just the two of us }

Thanks to my parents and Mandy, we were able to go on a romantic getaway! It was so relaxing and enjoyable and I fell even more in love with my man... if that is possible:) Spending time with him is my favorite thing to do.

She loves books, puzzles, watching movies, swimming, and playing games.

She calls Matt, Brittany, and Kayla "the kids" and tries bossing them around. It usually doesn't work out very well!

Her favorite foods are Asian food, pasta, corn, and ice cream.

It takes her a long time to eat her food, but she is the least picky child we have.

She never stops talking!

She asks the same questions over and over.

I have been helping her memorize Psalms 23. Several times throughout each day she says it. Sweetest thing ever!

When we are around elderly people she is really affectionate towards them. She crawls up on their laps and gives them hugs. 

She is the biggest giggle box!

Sometimes she takes off running around in circles and tells us she is getting her exercises.

She is so happy when I do art projects with her.

my baby turned four

on August 3.

She asks for a tea party every other day so I thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate her special day:)

I am already missing the baby days, but I am enjoying watching her grow and learn new things. She makes me smile every day. I sure am thankful God blessed my life with her.

{ back to school }

I am never ready for the kids to go back to school. I love lazy summer days, no schedules, and having the kids at home.

Lily is always getting into my basket of flowers and "fixing her hair real pretty."
