My sweet and talented Mom taught me how to draw puppies like this when I was a little girl. I was recently showing Lily how to draw them and knew they would make cute Valentine cards, especially after seeing these. We enjoyed making them together. I’m so glad she enjoys art as much as I do!
This year I made Valentine bags for my sweeties and filled them with candy, chocolates, and a few of their favorite things.
Lily got her first professional haircut. It is quite a bit shorter than I thought it would be, but she is still the most adorable four year old I know! Plus I think it makes her look younger, which is a good thing since she is growing up way too fast!
Valentine’s Day! Each year my husband and I make a yummy dinner together and spend the evening playing games with our kids.
Here are some of the games we played last year.
1. measure everyone’s smile and whoever has the biggest gets a surprise.
2. hide a bunch of hearts around the house with fun surprises written on them. (stay up 20 minutes later…no chore for the day…5 minute foot massage… pick out something at the dollar store…)
3. play hot potato with a big heart pillow. Each time the music stops the child holding the heart gets a piece of candy.
4. say a word that has something to do with Valentine’s day and give everyone two minutes to draw a picture that represents that word. Whoever wins gets to be the judge for the next round.
Do you have something special planned for Valentine’s day? If so, I would love to hear about it!
